The Breizh Swing
Our story begins in 2022...
Originally, a few caps were created for the Breizh Swing 2022, a competition among friends that the whole world envies... This 2022 edition was particularly special, not only because it took place in the most beautiful region of France, ;-), but also because it was an opportunity to celebrate our friend Phiphi's 60th birthday.
Okay, that's all very nice, but what's the connection with my bunker shot?
Let's just say that our friend Phiphi's skill in bunkers is relative, to say the least, and since we had the opportunity to honor him, it had to be with abunker shot. First explanation.
The Omega European Masters
...or even a little before
The second is just as true but more serious.
On Wednesday, August 28, 2019, the traditional pre-tournament Pro-Am is played at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club, and to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the European Masters, the organizers pulled out all the stops. Justin Timberlake (HCP 4, if memory serves) plays with Rory McIlroy and finds his ball buried in the rough near the 8th green.
Justin then asks Rory what kind of shot to play under these conditions, to which Rory replies:
« like a bunker shot ! »
My Bunker Shot
The K Story
One thing leading to another, as we embroider, both here and on the caps, from one available domain name to another which will by default require us to add the my, Phiphi's bunker shots and Rory's live response to Justin, give birth to my bunker shot.
Ok, and the K story is when?
Here we are, my bunker shot, it's a bit long and not always easy to place on a cap... We take out a wedge, we juggle with the K of bunker, and we integrate a flag. The case is heard, the symbol of the brand is born, you will find it on the flag label of our caps ... in white on black, with a 56 slipped discreetly on the back ...
Beginning of a story that we hope to be long, we will see if we limp the way out or not but in the meantime...just have fun and play golf !
My Bunker Shot
Pourquoi le K ?
Chez My Bunker Shot, chaque détail compte. Chaque broderie, chaque couture, chaque finition raconte une histoire.
Celle du K, notre logo signature, ne fait pas exception.
Pourquoi ce K stylisé, discret mais reconnaissable ? Parce qu’au-delà des mots, il incarne l’essence même de notre marque.
K, comme un clin d’œil à « bunker », cette zone de jeu emblématique qui fait vibrer les amateurs de golf… mais aussi, tout simplement, comme une manière épurée, graphique et directe de signer nos créations.
Le K, c’est notre réponse à un constat simple :
Sur certains modèles, le nom « My Bunker Shot » s’imprime ou se brode difficilement. Nous ne voulions ni compromettre l’esthétique, ni renoncer à notre identité.
Alors nous avons imaginé cette alternative : un logo minimaliste, élégant, pensé pour sublimer la casquette sans jamais l’alourdir.
Vous y verrez peut-être un mât et un drapeau…
Un rappel discret aux parcours, aux greens, aux fairways.
Nous y voyons surtout un symbole. Celui d’une marque française de casquettes de golf, qui cultive l’amour du détail, du style et de l’univers golfique.
